Jeep tour Corcovado and Tijuca Forest
The special feature of this tour is riding open vehicles and seeing a city from another angle.
Christ the Redeemer, at the top of Corcovado mountain can be seen from almost everywhere in town. In the list of one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World, the head and hands of the statue were sculpted in Paris by Paul Landowski while volunteers covered the statue with small triangles of soapstone forming a mosaic, ideal for its resilience to constant winds and lightning. A fine art-deco monument, with elegant lines that enhance the beauty of the statue and its surroundings. Taking a narrow forest road, with nature everywhere and breathtaking beauty in the heart of a city like Rio, the greatest portion of if planted by human hands, the Tijuca National Park is in fact divided as Serra da Carioca (ridge), Pedra Bonita (where the hang gliders take off, Pedra da Gávea and PretosForros and Covanca ridge. A stop at the forest for a short hike to feel how a tropical rainforest can be part of city like Rio.
