TRANSFER AIRPORT / HOTEL

H/D CITY TOUR

Brasilia’s urban planning project has divided the business area of the residential areas and the government axis. Addressed in Brasilia, read SQS - meaning Super Block South and a number. These super blocks are an all-inclusive neighbourhood with services, food stores, filling stations, etc. Tour will visit a super block of the southern zone; Dom Bosco Santuary (the Blue Church); TV Tower, Military Sector, JK Memorial, Cathedral, Ministery's axis; Itamaraty Palace (Foreign Relations); 3 Powers Square; Democracy and Liberty Pantheon; Lucio Costa Cultural Space, Jaburu Palace (Vice-President’s residence); Dawn Palace; Embassy Row. Duration: 3 hrs.

DAY 3

TRANSFER HOTEL / AIRPORT

Transfer accompanied by the local guide, from the hotel to the airport for a flight to your next destination in Brazil.

Brasília: Since the very first stages of Brazil as a colony, the Portuguese had a plan of having the capital moved inland. It was, at the time, a strategy to protect the capital from pirate’s invasion. The site had been chosen - the centre of the country - but it remained a dream until 1955 when Juscelino Kubitschek became President of Brazil. The transition between dream and reality was brought forth under Lucio Costa’s urban planning conception, poetically translated into a simple sign, like someone who possesses a place and in this place maps out two lines that cross symbolizing the Sign of the Cross.
