Windsor Hotels Chain acquired the building of the former Iberostar Copacabana and former Meridien Copacabana. It will be the 10th hotel of Windsor Chain in Rio (Excelsior, Barra, Miramar, Plaza, Palace, Martinique, Florida, Guanabara and Asturias).
They are planning to open the hotel for the New Years in Rio, but it is not confirmed yet.
